HOMEOWNER FAQS
What is Quick Quotes?
Quick Quotes is the first on-line service provided by a roofing manufacturer that directly links homeowners with roofing needs to manufacturer-certified contractors for project quotes.

What is the difference between "contact me now", the GAF contractor locator, and the Quick Quotes Program?
  1. Through the "Contractor Locator," you can research and select GAF Factory-Certified Contractors and contact them directly on your own.
  2. Through "Contact Me Now," three GAF Factory-Certified Contractors are notified of your roofing inquiry and will contact you within 48 business hours to discuss your project.
  3. Through "Quick Quotes," you can anonymously request up to 3 comparative roofing quotes from GAF Factory-Certified Contractors. You can pursue any, all, or none of those quotes, it’s your choice. If/when you select a quote, you can contact the contractor immediately or have them contact you within 48 business hours.

What are the benefits of using Quick Quotes?
You can receive quotes anonymously, as your contact information is only provided if you’ve selected one of the quotes. In addition, this service saves you time since it does not require an in-person meeting with the bidding contractors.

Why am I receiving a message stating no contractors are available to provide a quote in my area?
This is an exclusive program for our most highly rated Master Elite® Contractors. In some instances, we not yet have an eligible contractor enrolled in the Quick Quotes program. If you receive this message, please visit our Contractor Locator on gaf.com to find a GAF Master Elite® Contractor that services your area and contact them directly.

Is there a cost for using the Quick Quotes?
No, the service is provided free of charge to homeowners.

How long does the process take?
The process takes 5-7 business days. During the first 24-48 hours, contractors will be notified of your request and will accept/decline participation in your project. During the next 24-48 hours, an aerial report of your home with roof measurements will be generated and submitted to the contractor(s) for review. During the last 24-48 hours, the contractor(s) will submit a quote for your review.

How will I know quotes are available for my review?
You will receive an email notification once quotes are submitted. You can also visit the Quick Quotes site directly for updates.

What type of roofing system will the contractors be quoting?
In order to simplify the quoting process and make it easier for you to compare quotes, GAF has developed a roofing configuration based on standard good roofing practices. It features GAF’s Timberline® HD shingles, which are the #1-selling roofing shingles in North America, as well as the other roofing components that are necessary for a sound roofing system. Alternative shingle options are always available and can be discussed once you’ve selected your contractor.

How do I select the roofing system during the quote process?
In the interest of providing you with an apples-to-apples comparison, the Timberline Roofing System has been preselected. Additional options are always available and should be discussed during your meeting with the selected contractor.

Can I change the roofing system being quoted?
In the interest of providing you with an apples-to-apples comparison, the Timberlinebased roofing system mentioned above has been preselected. Alternative shingle options are always available and can be discussed once you’ve selected your contractor.

Can I choose my shingle color?
Yes, your chosen contractor can discuss color options with you.

Is the quoted price guaranteed or can it change?
If you make no changes to the preselected system configuration, the price is guaranteed. [?] However, changes to your final product choices, warranty choices, etc. can affect the final price. Your selected contractor will review all of these details with you.

Is GAF able to see the prices being quoted?
